Trevin Dace, A 23 year-old recent UCSC sociology graduate at the Institute of Social Transformation, graduated with comprehensive honors. His experience working directly on the farm shoulder-to-shoulder with those facing homelessness inspired him to write his master’s thesis on the science of farm and ag therapy. His research shows agriculture as an effective nature therapy application. For more information, please read his Koret Foundation sponsored study. Trevin is pursuing a career as a farmer with a social mission. Trevin sees farming as an effective means to address specific social and individual wellness issues. His goal is for social-purpose farming to be the new ‘organic’ movement. Eden Streets provides him with the opportunities and the tools needed to achieve his goals. Trevin will share his journey and explain the benefits that he sees from being a member of Eden Streets.
